There is nothing that wearies and confuses like zeal without knowledge. “For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge” (Rom. 10:2). It is good to be zealously affected for the things of God, but it is better to act with knowledge in whatever we do. Ignorance should be fought tenaciously by the acquisition of correct and relevant knowledge.
“The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go into the city”. Foolish labouring confuses and yields no result that is commensurate to the labour. May the lord deliver you from every foolish labour. You can also deliver yourself by seeking for knowledge so that you can do exploits in life and ministry.
God’s ability is always constant. Most of what we experience depends on our response to God’s ability that is in, and with us. Knowledge enables us to respond appropriately to God’s ability. Heb. 11:2 says: ‘By faith the elders obtained a good report’. The Kind of report you obtain as you takeoff on your assignment depends on your exercise of faith or unbelief. You can only obtain a good report by faith.
Exploits of faith
Enoch walked with God by faith so much that he obtained a testimony that he was translated that he should not see death and was not found (not because he missed his way or got drowned). God translated him. By faith, Noah saved his family from global flood when he moved with fear at the warning of God. He was warned of things not seen as yet, but he moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house, by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. (Heb 11:7). By faith, Sarah received strength to conceive at her old age for she judged God faithful who had promised. She enjoyed the promise because she “judged God faithful who has promised” (Heb 11:11). All the heroes of faith obtained a good report by their daring acts of faith.
You need faith for your assignment. God will always tell you the end from the beginning but your faith in God is what will sustain you to the end.
God’s vision is obtainable
Anytime God calls a man, he will show him great things that are ahead. Whatever God has shown you are obtainable. What you need is an unwavering faith, diligence, focus and faithfulness.
“For I know the thought that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thought of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jer 29:11). God has a plan to give you a glorious expected end. That is why he is already talking about it (the expected end) so that you can get excited to undertake the assignment. If you follow his plan, you will surely arrive there. You will arrive at your destination in Jesus name.
God always declares the end from the beginning.
