I am sure Philip got introduced into the miraculous as he was diligently and faithfully fulfilling his ministry as a deacon and also spending some quality time with God.
God himself brought Moses into the miraculous. We need God’s anointing and instructions in order to be able to enter into the realm of signs and wonders. Signs and wonders are to naturally follow the believer. Jesus said: And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mk. 16:15). Under the new covenant, any believer can walk in miracles, signs and wonders by faith. When we stay long enough in God’s presence, seeking his face, the anointing of the Holy Spirit comes upon us. This further launches us into the realm of greater signs and wonders.
You cannot minister with signs and wonders following and people will not believe. A miracle is worth fifty sermons. Signs and wonders easily make people believe that this is more than ordinary.
As we later saw, even magicians can perform wonders as lectured and tutored by Satan, but the miracles of God will always swallow the magic of Satan. All the magicians in Pharaoh’s palace lost their rods of authority to Moses at the contest of power.
Knowing God is a process. Later, God was going to show Moses the secret of doing signs.
