What Are We Doing On This Earth? (Part 5)

Do not think you are here on earth to do whatever you like without any accruing consequences. Yes, you may do whatever you like and rebel against God and Christ, but there shall be consequences at the end of the day when you cross the finishing line. We have a cloud of witnesses cheering us up and waiting in anticipation for how we are getting on with our walk with God and how we are going to cross the finishing line. These witnesses are those who have passed through this earth before us and have died either in Christ or against Christ. Hebrews 12:1 says: "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us."

We are now under the dispensation of grace. As such, things are easier. The son of God was sent to pay our debt on the cross. We are alive in the spirit because we are born again. We also have the word of God and the Holy Spirit to help us in the journey. What excuse do we have left? How do we intend to graduate from this world? Those who lived under the dispensation of conscience will be judged with their conscience. Those who lived under the dispensation of the law will be judged with the law. But we that are alive under grace shall be judged under grace. Grace is favour and mercy. It is easier now. No one will have any excuse on the judgment day. It is not about our works, even though the works are good. It is about our faith in Jesus Christ. Justification is by faith alone, not by works. Ephesians 2:8, 9 says: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
